Shifting From Caregiver to Non-Caregiver

It was hard for me when Brandon no longer needed me. After weeks and months of tracking down doctors and fighting for Brandon’s needs and corresponding daily with lawyers, I was done. Brandon was capable of corresponding with the lawyers himself. Doctor and rehab appointments were fewer and far between. There was the occasional insurance submittal or something to track down, but my full time job was no longer “caregiver”.
