I’ve been spending a lot of time sitting outside. Partly because we just got new patio furniture, and partly because it is gorgeous outside in Denver right now. But the biggest reason why I’m spending so much time sitting outside is because it’s the only place I feel truly still.

My mom completed her final radiation treatment (or getting glowed as she calls it) this week. She was diagnosed with breast cancer last July, right smack dab in the middle of my parents’ kitchen remodel and planning for my wedding that was happening in two months.
